Vail is one of the world's top ski resorts with outstanding lodging and a beautiful alpine style village that offers a great atmosphere with world-class dining, shopping, galleries, après ski, nightlife and spa services.

Vail Mountain's top elevation is 12250 feet (3526 m) and a low of 8120 feet (2475 m) with a vertical drop of 3450 feet (1051 m). Vail is the largest, individual standing ski mountain in the USA. It has 5289 acres (2140 ha) of skiable terrain, 33 lifts, 193 marked trails among the front side, seven back bowls, and Blue Sky Basin. Blue Sky Basin features more than 600 acres (243 ha) of terrain. The seven back bowls are Sun Down Bowl, Sun Up Bowl, Teacup Bowl, China Bowl, Siberia Bowl, Inner Mongolia Bowl, and Outer Mongolia Bowl and together span six miles (9.7 km).
